smaller than ProMaster City and approximately 27 cu ft. smaller than the segment that leads the long-wheelbase Transit Connect) and a number of innovative features designed around the needs of small business owners. The best standard assurance factor of any commercial Van (5-year/100, 000-mile limited and powertrain) and easy to see why the NV200 continues to be a competitive offering here in 2021.

2021 Nissan NV200 Features

NV200 got some subtle but welcome extras for 2021. There is a new 7-in touchscreen Infotainment system with the standard Sirius Satellite radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Base NV200 S now comes standard with a colored body Bumper front. Finally, six wall-mounted D-ring point Tie-downs and three sky-mounted cargo lights are standard for cargo areas as well.

The NV200 is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 131 horsepower and 139 lb-ft torque. This machine comes decimated to continuous variable automatic transmission (CVT).

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, NV200 achieved a fuel economy of 24 miles per gallon in the city, 26 mpg on the highway and 25 MPG in combined driving. Not bad for working vehicles.

Nissan NV200 Safety

NV200 with 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, stability control and six airbags (front, side, and side-curtain). Either the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or highway Safety Insurance Agency has been crash-tested NV200.

The NV200 ‘s cabin has no-nonsense materials and controls. Nothing looks or feels fancy but we suspect most buyers in this segment prioritize durability and functionality over comfort. Drivers of hard work will appreciate the standard lumbar support adjusted and patch wear of Vinyl should extend the shelf life of the upholstery. Uncomfortable knobs and buttons feel sturdy and intuitively laid out.

On the road, the NV200 ‘s carlike unibody construction is clear. Beyond the fact that you may not forget that you have a big cargo box behind you, NV200 essentially drives like a car.

The steering wheel is lightweight but precise and the suspension swallows a lump with no flatness and clatter you get in a larger, trucklike Van job. Plus, if you need to make deliveries, the NV200’s s compact footprint means you can park just around anywhere because this Van is smaller than many Crossover SUVs.

2021 Nissan NV200 Engine

If NV200 has a weakness, it is the mandatory 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. While adequate, nobody writes about the house. European buyers can define a 4-cylinder turbodiesel and we think American-minded utilities will appreciate the superior diesel torque from the line.

However, Nissan representatives told us that it was too expensive to get a certified diesel in this country so that the 4-cylinder gas-powered is all we get. Fortunately, the 139 lb-ft of Scoot’s successful small-torque NV along with reasonable authority and gearless CVT delivers a frightening smooth acceleration. The 24 MPG fuel economy City is a nice perk, too.
