2022 Nissan Sentra vs. Nissan Altima

2022 Nissan Sentra vs. Nissan Altima – There are apparent differences between the two models, but they also have quite a lot in common, making it difficult to choose between them.

The Altima is more significant, more expensive, and offers more performance than the Sentra, for starters. The Sentra is a smaller vehicle than the Altima, more affordable, and more fuel-efficient.

2022 Nissan Sentra vs. Nissan Altima: Performances

In terms of performance, Altima has the advantage over Sentra. The Sentra has only one engine, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 149 horsepower.

The Nissan Altima has two engines, both of which are more powerful. The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder produces 188 hp, while consumers looking for more power can opt for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is available at 248 hp.

Another essential thing that Altima has above Sentra is the availability of all-wheel drive. It is only available on a basic four-cylinder engine but is a relatively affordable option of $1,350.

While the Sentra was a more fuel-efficient option, the Altima won because it was not too far from the Sentra while much more powerful.

According to the EPA, the Altima gets 32 miles per gallon combined with a base engine and 29 mpg combined with turbo. The Sentra was only rated at a combined 33 mpg.

Altima comes with more standard technology features. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 8-inch touchscreen, four USB ports, satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system are included. The base center gets a 7-inch touchscreen with no smartphone integration.

Which is the best in our opinion

If you want to get the most out of your money on a budget, Sentra is the best choice. The fully redesigned model is good enough to ensure that some consumers continue to use compact sedans rather than SUVs, thanks to its move being a particular choice, not just a budget-friendly car. There’s more to Sentra than ever before.

Featuring more standard technology, a more powerful engine, and all-wheel drive available, the Nissan Altima was the winner in this competition.

Thanks to its larger size, the vehicle is more flexible and more comfortable for its owners. It does cost more money than Sentra, but the additional cost is justified.

2022 Nissan Sentra vs. Nissan Altima: Price

If you want to stick to the budget, Sentra is the obvious choice. It costs $20,015, including a goal to get started, making it $4,980 cheaper than the entry-level Altima.

With more expensive cars than ever before, saving money on buying new vehicles is a huge advantage. You can even get the Sentra SR trim with the highest range for $22,355, which will still cost $2,640 cheaper than the basic Altima.

Despite being a more affordable vehicle, the Sentra comes with more standard safety features than the Altima. The Sentra S base is equipped with front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure alerts, and more.

The basic Altima only gets automatic emergency braking and forward-collision alerts for standard active safety features.
