2022 Nissan Fairlady 480Z: New Electric Sports Car Concept

2022 Nissan Fairlady 480Z: New Electric Sports Car Concept – All-new Z sports cars are being prepared by Nissan probably with a retro design inspired by the original 240Z. This Rendering may not be from Nissan itself and not the work of gun designer Le Yang Bai, but they show just how incredible the 240Z-inspired sports car could look like in the modern world.

Calling the design “icon ” 240Z will not be excessive. Sporting a stirring and sleek silhouette and complete with a long hood, it’s really beautiful and has remained timeless throughout the decade. The modern interpretation of Bai from a sports car maintains its original form but adds a number of parts that bring it to modern standards.

2022 Nissan Fairlady 480Z Engine

The original Nissan Z Car sales began in October 1969, with separate models for the Japanese and US markets. The first displays the 2.0 L SOHC L20A Straight-six engine producing 130 HP, while 240Z US comes equipped with 2.4 L L24 inline-6 with twins Hitachi SU-type carburetor that produces 151 HP.

Automotive Designer Le Yang Bai shows us what the 2022 Nissan Fairlady 480Z who pays tribute to the original 240Z could look like. Read more for additional images.

There is a front section, for example. While the fascia of 240Z is quite gentle and seductive, Bai has tweaked the thing so that the new car, dubbed as the Fairlady 480Z, is much more threatening and aggressive.

On the back, the Split backlight similar to 240z is a feature though also modified in their form according to the new personality of the car. There is also a pair of installed tailpipes in the center.

There is no word about the official plans of Nissan, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see all the power powertrains in this sports car, or at least such a hybrid system.

In the related news, if you’ve ever wondered why it’s called the Z Fairlady in Japan, it’s to keep the car in line with the previous generation of Datsun sport Roadster.

Our favorite design elements from the entire project are sharp fins on the hood that while purely aesthetic in this rendering, can be modified for small camera homes.

Those familiar with 240Z will know that it is often sold with mirrors mounted right above the front wheels and these fins are calling memories of them.

Nissan is going through some trials and tribulations at the moment but if it is to disengage a sports car that looks like this, we think it could have a winner in his hand.
