2021 Nissan Pathfinder SV Interior Exterior – We think Pathfinder SV is the best combination of cost and desired content. It enhances the S model cheaper with more standard features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, passive entry, adjustable driver seats, rear parking sensors, and Remote Start.

We will also choose Rock Creek Edition for the chunkier exterior element and add the appropriate technology package. It carries the heat of the front seat, the steering wheel is heated, and the Infotainment system is more robust with built-in navigation. Those who want the all-weather capability of the all-wheel drive can add it for an additional $1690.

2021 Nissan Pathfinder SV Engine

The best V-6 Pathfinder engine can be described as adequate. It’s far from the fastest in its class, but it’s painless slow, either. The 284-HP 3.5-liter engine is about the average in this class, but Nissan obviously does not use horses as well as Jackrabbits like Chevy Traverse and Honda pilots.

Continuous variable automatic transmission (CVT) is standard on all Pathfinders, and it is largely unobtrusive and seamless in everyday driving. This is when you press the accelerator harder to merge or pass that you will see the droning machine, which can interfere on the extended drive.

Pathfinder can tow up to 6000 pounds, which is 1000 more than most competitors. The steering is too light and many Body rolls make the Pathfinder feel bigger than the back of the wheel than it is. The upside is a largely luxurious and quiet trip that makes highway travel easy — but most of the better handling rivals can make this claim as well.

2021 Nissan Pathfinder SV Specs

Based on the EPA metric, both the front and all-wheel-drive versions of Pathfinder sit near the top of the class – only the Mazda CX-9 with a four-cylinder turbocharged defeating Nissan in several categories. The All-wheel-drive Pathfinder we tested was an underachiever, hitting just 22 MPG on our 200-mile highway fuel-economy route-significantly lower than the total EPA highway of 26 MPG.

Upscale decorations and comfortable chairs make for a pleasant interior. As you might expect from a family SUV, cupholders and USB port abound, and there are plenty of seating configurations available. It doesn’t feel modern or fancy as some new competitors, however.

The front seats are very spacious and airy for this class and provide good cushioning. Legroom in the second row is generous, too, and the chair flip and slide it easily to give easy access to the third line. Good luck finds a lot of conveniences back there, however: low bottom pads to rare floor and legroom, making it a place for short travel only – at least for adults.

Folding the second and third-row seats are at least a simple process, making it easy to expand the cargo area when needed. Nonetheless, the Pathfinder held fewer Carry-on suitcases from every three rows of SUVs in a competitive set except for the CX-9.

The 8.0-inch touch screen is standard on all models; The graphics look as if they have come straight from 2010, though, even if the menu is logically arranged. It also doesn’t have the capabilities of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that we expect in this segment. Onboard Wi-Fi with a 4G LTE data connection is available as an option that the dealer has installed on each Pathfinder model.

2021 Nissan Pathfinder SV Features

Pathfinder performed well across the board in an accident test, earning a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the safety of selecting honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS). The Entry-level model comes with a driver-basic Help feature, but opting for a more expensive version of Pathfinder adds a few additions to the mix. Key safety features include:

  • Standard collision forward warnings and automatic emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring available and cross-traffic alerts
  • Adaptive Cruise Control available
