2022 Nissan Rogue vs. Rogue Sport

2022 Nissan Rogue vs. Rogue Sport – Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport are two SUVs with similar features, but both have differences.

The Nissan Rogue is a medium-size crossover with more space than its counterpart, making it an excellent choice for families or anyone looking for more cargo space.

The Nissan Rogue Sport is an excellent choice for those in the market for smaller SUVs with almost as many standard technology and safety features.

As a smaller vehicle than two vehicles, the Nissan Rogue Sport is also cheaper. In the basic trim, Rogue is a little over $2,000 extra. Adding all-wheel drive is also a little cheaper in Rogue Sport.

The Rogue Sport is a newer vehicle scheduled for a style refresh on the 2022 model year. Rogue 2021 doesn’t look bad, but its tiered headlights may not appeal to everyone. The updated Rogue Sport may be a safer style bet.

Despite its lower price, Rogue Sport still follows the technology and features. It comes with the same active safety suite as larger vehicles and gets the same 7-inch infotainment system. Both are sophisticated, and they increase the value of Rogue Sport.

Rogue vs. Rogue Sport: Performance

No one would call the Nissan Rogue a performance car, but it has a significant power advantage over the Nissan Rogue Sport.

Rogue’s engine produces 40 more horsepower and an extra 34 pound-feet of torque, translating into a slightly more vibrant drive. Rogue also has more ground clearance than Rogue Sport, making it more likely to be an off-roader.

Despite its extra power, Rogue is a more efficient vehicle. The EPA estimates that it will do up to 30 miles per gallon combined with rogue Sport’s combined 28 mpg.

Rogue vs. Rogue Sport: Interior

As the larger of the two compacts, Rogue gets extra space for people and cargo. The rear seat rider has more than 5 inches of legroom in Rogue, making it more comfortable for adult passengers. Rogue also has 36.8 cubic feet of luggage space, which beats Rogue Sport’s 33.3 cubic feet.

Rogue’s interior is also more fun than both. The materials are of higher quality, and an intelligent storage angle keeps your devices and belongings close.

The Nissan Rogue is not a big car, but it manages to feel more significant than its size. The interior makes good use of the space and has more space at the front and rear than the Nissan Rogue Sport.

Rogue Sport comes with an attractive price tag, but it feels like a cheaper car. Second-row passengers will be less comfortable, and rogue sport powertrains are less powerful and less efficient. Its technological features are bright spots, but we still feel Rogue is a better value.

2022 Nissan Rogue Sport Release Date

The Nissan Rogue Sport, known as the Qashqai outside the U.S., will be all-new for 2022. The Qashqai launched on February 18, but Nissan has yet to give a premiere date for Rogue Sport.

After all, they are identical vehicles, and a completely redesigned exterior and interior are expected.

Several teaser images have been released showing new LED headlights connected to a narrow daytime running light blends in with the distinctive V-motion grille.

It will also come with a nine-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless compatibility. The driver will have a separate 12.3-inch gauge cluster screen.

The power will come from a 1.3-liter turbocharged lightweight hybrid with about 158 horsepower. CVT gearboxes are expected, and all-wheel drive will be optional. The hybrid version is also in progress.

2022 Rogue Sport Features

If the 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport follows in the footsteps of the new European Qashqai model tires, the U.S.-spec SUV will offer 20-inch wheels and FWD or AWD; Smaller Kicks only come with FWD.

Like the larger Rogue, Rogue Sport 2022 will probably offer a 9.0-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch cluster of digital instruments, as well as a head-up display.

2022 Rogue Sport Engine

Powertrains for the Rogue Sport 2022 U.S. specs have yet to be confirmed, but the engine will at least match the 141-hp and 147 lb-ft torque of the 2021 Rogue Sport.

In the very crowded class of small SUVs, rogue Sport 2022 can better differentiate itself with much better power, higher fuel economy, or both.

Rogue Sport 2021 has an EPA-rated 25/32 mpg city/highway in FWD and 24/30 with an AWD. Expect CVT to be the only transmission available.
